How this is calculated
  1. You give us your orders and your average order value. Every flow's size is worked out from those two numbers, so both matter.
  2. Klaviyo's own benchmarks show a full set of flows is worth a real share of a store's revenue. We take that share and work out what each flow should make for your volume.
  3. For a flow you do not run yet, we count its full benchmark value. For a flow you already run, we count only the gap between what you make now and what a well-built version should make for your volume. If you already beat the benchmark, we count nothing there. A flow far below its benchmark, like a big list with a tiny welcome number, shows a large gap, not a flat percentage.
  4. We add the extra signups a better popup brings in, and we do not count every dollar Klaviyo would credit, since some sales would have happened anyway, so we cut the number down to what is truly new.
  5. Your existing list is counted once and kept separate. When the never-bought, second-order and winback flows first turn on, they email everyone already on your list who qualifies. We size that as a one-time number using a conservative revenue per person, so a one-time surge is never shown as if it repeats every month.
  6. You pay your agreed share of the revenue, or a flat monthly fee, on the lift measured inside your own Klaviyo against a small holdout group that gets no flow email, not on this estimate.
